Tinos

I can’t believe it’s been only a week since we left Marmaris. We’ve done quite a few Greek islands in one week: Simi, Yiali, Levitha, Patmos, Fournio and Tinos.

We arrived in Tinos before sunset after a long day sailing, parked up Mediterranean style (anchor with stern lines to the quay) and settled down for the evening. It was a great day sailing, breezy and the wind came from the right direction. The boat handled it perfectly and comfortably. The boys were happy playing games, listening to music and helping steering the boat. Today we are having a rest-day and will just sail over to the next bay to anchor up and do some snorkelling. We haven’t seen any shops for the last few days so first we need to stock up on supplies. We are still ok for diesel and our watermaker has been doing a great job topping up the watertanks.

This is such a fantastic sail area, islands everywhere, plenty of choice and variety. One could easily spend a few months here but unfortunately we don’t have that luxury as we have to start making our way out of the Med. We should be in Athens in a week or so and then through the Corinth Canal.
