Finally we’re off!

After too many days in the marina we are FINALLY ready to go! Thanks for all your lovely send off wishes. We hope to keep our mailasail blog up to date while we are en route with regular position updates (fingers crossed it all works so please don’t panic if you don’t hear from us!):

  1. Good luck on your passage!
We are Antares hull 34 and have enjoyed following your adventure (and fixes/upgrades as we’re on a similar path).
We hope to meet you in person someday, perhaps at the get-together Rob & Jeff are organizing in the islands if it works out and we both make it there.
We wish you fair winds, calm seas – and a lot of fun – on your transAtlantic adventure.

  2. We were just about to send you our best Christmas wishes to find that you are now somewhere on the high seas. Hope you can get this message, wherever you are by now. Anyway, have a great, ‘unique’ Christmas and a rollicking New Year. Happy birthday Audrie and I think we missed Aeneas’ birthday, so belated best wishes. We are in the Sydney summer for Christmas and New Year but off to the USA on 3rd Jan for a spot of skiing with the family. Love and safe travels to you all. Hans and Val xxx

  3. We were your marina neighbours in Las Palmas on the Neel 45 and just saw your position via AIS at CapVerde Islands! We’ve just returned home (where its snowing!!) after our first transatlantic crossing. The 18 day passage to Martinique was super, boat handled brilliantly after the thrashing it took in the storm prior to Las Palmas! We’ll be following your adventures as you live the dream and wish you all fair wind and following seas!
